Damien M. Kutinsky

Damien worked under Witold L. Gutter as a paralegal focused in corporate, commercial transactions, and real estate while he completed his Bachelor of Arts with MacEwan University, graduating with distinction in 2013 with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Sociology. He thereafter completed his Juris Doctor with the University of Alberta in 2016.  Upon graduating from law school, Damien left WLG Law to join Sockett Law to complete his articles. He continued his practice at Sockett Law focusing primarily on litigation, including criminal, employment, construction and commercial.

In 2020, Damien returned to WLG Law to take over the practice from Witold L. Gutter. With his passion for law and dedication to clients, Damien seeks to continue the legacy that Witold built.

When Damien is not at the office, he spends most of his time with his wife, two sons and daughter, and enjoys following his children to their various extracurricular activities.

Branden L. Messier

Branden was born in Calgary and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2014, Branden earned his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Management at MacEwan University in Edmonton. He then went on to do his JD at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, which he completed in 2020. Upon completion of his articles in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Branden joined WLG Law as an associate lawyer.

Throughout law school, Branden took many courses that centred around his interest in solicitor work including wills, estates, real estate, and commercial law. He plans to continue down this road and looks forward to serving the community in these areas of practice.

When he is not practicing law, Branden enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors and playing hockey.

Legacy of WLG

WLG Law was founded in 2002 by Witold L. Gutter after leaving as vice president and corporate secretary of a publicly-traded company. He brought with him years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, and a passion for the law. Since that time, Witold grew the practice and the loyalty of his clients by consistently delivering quality legal representation and a no-nonsense approach to law. He built an office that had a reputation for getting the job done and getting it done right, every time.

Unfortunately, Witold was diagnosed with terminal cancer in the Summer of 2020 and thereafter passed away in December of 2020. He was proud to see his nephew return to inherit the legacy he began. He is sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Helping Hands was created by a group of people bound together by a shared tragedy. We have chosen to honor the life of a young man taken from us far too early by using his love for automotives as a platform to encourage Mental Health Awareness.
